Once again, RE/MAX is among the top-rated franchise brands, according to Entrepreneur’s 2021 Franchise 500® survey. The growing global franchisor has been recognized on the prestigious list for 37 years.
Despite government shutdown measures to stem the coronavirus beginning at the close of Q1 2020, RE/MAX recently announced it sold over 500 franchises and renewed over 600 worldwide through the end of the third quarter last year.
“In a fast-paced industry like real estate, ‘business as usual’ never really applies, so we take an aggressive, modern approach in everything we do,” RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos says. “Last year demonstrated how impactful the power of the RE/MAX brand can be in helping entrepreneurs in our network build their businesses. Our franchisees get instant access to state-of-the-art systems, services, training, technology, and marketing, along with instant referral connections to colleagues all over the world. The growth of the past year is a testament to our brand’s resiliency in any condition.”
More than 1,100 franchisors applied for this year’s Franchise 500.
RE/MAX was selected as a top real estate brokerage franchisor based on various factors, including unit growth, financial strength, stability, and brand power.
“RE/MAX is about always moving forward and finding new and better ways to deliver advantages for franchisees and agents, and great experiences for consumers,” Contos adds.
“That inventive spirit drives our entire global network.”
The Franchise 500 is considered the oldest and most comprehensive franchise ranking in the world. Companies are judged by criteria including costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability.
This ranking comes on the heels of additional accolades for RE/MAX announced last year, including being listed on Entrepreneur’s Top 100 Franchises for Less Than $50,000.
From a single office that opened in 1973 in Denver, Colorado, RE/MAX has grown into a global real estate network with more than 130,000 sales associates in over 110 countries and territories.
